As someone who attended one of our events at our most succesful Film Festival to date a few weeks ago, or someone who likes to know what we are up to, we are excited to share with you some top facts about HGFF18 and reveal some exciting news about HGFF 2019…
We had 5 Sell-Out events
The Sara Gómez documentaries, our International Schools event, the Cuban Women Shorts evening, Children’s Salsa Workshop and Patricia Ramos’ El Techo all showed to packed audiences and many other events were nearly full too!
Audience figures reached nearly 2,000 people!
We were delighted with the numbers of people who enjoyed our events this year and the rise in the number of young people who attended. Thanks to our new marketing strategies, we way surpassed our estimate of 20,000 online views.
More feedback = more Festivals!
We had more audience feedback forms filled in this year than ever before so that’s down to you. Thank you. The info you gave us allows us to demonstrate that our Festival has a diverse and far-reaching appeal, with high quality events, so we can continue HGFF into the future!
Get HGFF19 in your diary!
Our Festival next year will run from 14-16 Nov 2019, taking place at CCA, GFT and other venues across Glasgow.
We are speaking to Cuba’s most celebrated actor who has agreed to come, work permitting. Can you guess who it might be?
Scottish Film to go to Cuba!
Next year Cuba will come to Scotland, but Scotland will also go to Cuba! We will be taking some of the best Scottish films to Havana to showcase the wealth of talent from our shores and Glaswegian photographer and band manager Dougie Souness will also stage an exhibition of his work.
