Join HGFF 18 and Tumbao Salsa Team at this Special Sunday Social Salsa Matinee at our regular venue MANGO, to celebrate the Closing of Havana Glasgow Film Festival 4th Edition.

For this Special Social event, we have two Cuban guest artists in addition to the Cuban filmmakers and actors attending the film festival.
We will have the talented DJ and Salsa Instructor Yersin Rivas who will be teaching a Cuban Salsa Class for Intermediate / advanced level from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Yersin will also be the DJ for the event.
We are also very pleased to present live performance with the amazing Cuban Soloist Wilder Mesa who was part of the Cuban trio “Somos Claves”.

Timetable:

* 5.30pm to 6.30pm: Cuban Salsa class (Intermediate / advanced) with guest Instructor Yersin Rivas.

* 6.45pm – Social Salsa Party with DJ Yersin Rivas and Tumbao Team

*7.15pm – Live Music with Wilder Mesa

Party with DJs continue after live music until 10pm.

PRICE: Only £6 for the Salsa Class to pay at the class.

Please Notice: We will also accept a £2 donation per person towards the extra expenses for this special Social Salsa Matinee Club Event for those no attending the class. This is not compulsory! It is voluntary.

We will bring you a wonderful late Afternoon / early evening Sunday with the absolute best and latest Salsa and the hottest most authentic Salsa available, as well as Bachata, Reggaeton and much more. Please spread the word and share this event with your friend.

About Wilder Mesa:
Wilder Mesa was born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba and started his musical journey at the Lauro Fuentes music school where he studied guitar. At 14 years old he started studying at the School of Art Instructors “EIA Pepito Tey”, until graduating as a music instructor in 2009. From his childhood to adolescence he participated in many festivals and events in Cuba and was a member of several musical projects such as “Guardianes del Son”, “Caña Brava”, “Coral de Fuego” and “Maikel and his Empire”. In 2012 Wilder joined the group “Septeto Tipico Tivoli” as a vocalist and together recorded the album “Ya no puedo parar”, under the seal of EGREM the national record label of Cuba. In 2017 Wilder recorded his first album “Dale Mambo” as a solo artist in urban music in the recording studio of the “Academia Musical” in Santiago de Cuba. Today, Wilder continues to work on his solo project as well as with the group “Somos Clave” which forms part of his musical ambitions.
