Cuba is coming to the Small Isles!

In a unique partnership with Visit Small Isles Films, Screen Argyll, Screen Scotland and local partners, we are visiting the small isles of Rum, Canna, Eigg and Muck this summer! 

We will run family-friendly afternoon and adult evening events with Cuban films, salsa dancing, talks, cocktails and Cuban food, hosted by our Directors Eirene Houston and Hugo Rivalta and filmmaker Dani Acosta, whose award-winning short film Cuban Bees: The Organic Revolution will be screening.

  • Animations made by school children at our workshops last year followed by our ‘how to do a folioscope animation. 15m

  • Cuban Bees: An Organic Revolution (Dani Acosta & Hugo Rivalta 2023, 19m) Documentary about the sustainable, organic apiculture methods used by Cuban beekeepers.
