10 November, Sunday
13:30-15:30 Refuweegee
A DOCMA is a 5-minute documentary film made by 5 filmmakers in 5 different documentary styles. The process is designed to get our creative juices flowing. No experience necessary.
Teams will be formed, roles allocated, and the rules explained. You’ll have just a few days to complete your own bit of documentary magic which will be screened to your peers, friends and a wider audience on the last day of the Festival. Completed films will be added to the ever-growing online DOCMA archive.
You will need something to shoot and edit on – e.g. a smart phone or laptop. If you do not have access to this equipment, please email hello@hgfilmfest.com in advance of the event and we will try and help. The workshop will be led by Glasgow-based documentary filmmaker Yasmin Al-Hadithi.
You will need an ipad or smart phone to film with – if you need access to this equipment, contact hello@hgfilmfest.com
