Workshop: DOCMA Filmmaking Challenge

10 November, Sunday

13:30-15:30 Refuweegee

A DOCMA is a 5-minute documentary film made by 5 filmmakers in 5 different documentary styles. The process is designed to get our creative juices flowing. No experience necessary.

Teams will be formed, roles allocated, and the rules explained. You’ll have just a few days to complete your own bit of documentary magic which will be screened to your peers, friends and a wider audience on the last day of the Festival. Completed films will be added to the ever-growing online DOCMA archive.

You will need something to shoot and edit on – e.g. a smart phone or laptop. If you do not have access to this equipment, please email in advance of the event and we will try and help. The workshop will be led by Glasgow-based documentary filmmaker Yasmin Al-Hadithi.

You will need an ipad or smart phone to film with – if you need access to this equipment, contact
