Accessibility Guide for The Boardwalk

Descriptive subtitling and BSL interpretation

All events on Tuesday 11 November and Thursday 13 November will be BSL interpreted.
The Film Quba! + Q&A on Sunday 16 November will be BSL interpreted.

Films with this symbol have English language descriptive subtitles. They transcribe dialogue and relevant aspects of the soundtrack, including music and sound effects.

Events with this symbol have BSL-English interpretation for Q&As and discussions.

Certification – Films not certified by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) are marked N/C and accompanied by an age recommendation, e.g. N/C 15+ (suitable for ages 15 and over – no-one under 15 will be admitted). Events may also have a specified age limit, e.g. ages 18+, due to overall content.

Audience Travel and Access Fund – We have an Audience Access Fund that can support any audience member with costs within Scotland to be able to attend our events (ie. travel or childcare costs). Please get in touch by emailing hello@hgfilmfest.com or speak to our team at the festival if you need this. You do not need to give a reason for accessing the fund.

Community tickets
Please get in touch if you run a community organisation, youth group or charity and would like to bring a group and access FREE tickets. Email hello@hgfilmfest.com
